Full-Stack Web Developer

After graduating with a BSc in Audio Technology, I spent two years working as a sound engineer, specialising in live audio-visual events across the South West of England. I then progressed into an audio-visual consultancy role, where I developed technical solutions for a wide range of clients and built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable work.

During my degree, I was first introduced to programming, using C to develop and manipulate audio within synthesisers and digital effects. Although my career initially followed the audio industry, my interest in software development continued to grow, eventually inspiring me to pursue it professionally.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, I took the opportunity to return to programming and committed to retraining as a full-stack web developer. I enrolled on an intensive bootcamp with IT Career Switch, where I built a strong foundation in modern web technologies and confirmed that software development was the career I wanted to pursue.

Today, I have over three years of commercial experience as a Software Developer, designing, developing and maintaining web applications within the telecommunications industry. My day-to-day work involves building new features using PHP (Laravel), JavaScript, Vue.js and MySQL, maintaining internal APIs, integrating third-party services and working directly with clients to deliver effective technical solutions. I take pride in writing clean, maintainable code, enjoy solving complex problems, and am always looking for opportunities to improve both my technical skills and the quality of the software I build.
